Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Cloud Operations Engineer to join our global CloudOps team. In this role, you will be responsible for the construction, maintenance, monitoring, and continuous improvement cloud infrastructure, supporting web applications, digital video servers, content delivery network tools, software packages, embedded Linux appliances, and Linux-based cloud services. You will collaborate closely with Network Operations Center (NOC) teams, developers, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the reliability, scalability, security, and performance of our worldwide production environments.

The ideal candidate has strong experience with cloud infrastructure, Linux systems, monitoring platforms, automation, and operational excellence, combined with a passion for maintaining highly available services and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Manage mass deployment, tagging, categorization, and security compliance across all infrastructure (patch management).
  • Design, review, and implement monitoring and alerting systems, including thresholds and incident response scripts.
  • Maintain close documentation of all infrastructure and supporting CloudOps services.
  • Work with development and other stakeholders on new product introduction and planning.
  • Ensure all resources are accounted for and clearly documented.

Requirements

Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of Site Reliability or/and DevOps Engineering.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience working with Cloud/Virtual Computing.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with one or more major IaaS platforms (AWS, OCI).
  • 2+ years of Hands-on experience with Linux OS with good control of shell scripting.
  • Clear and meticulous technical documentation.
  • Ability to innovate and introduce new tools and procedures.
  • Ability to work as part of a highly diverse global team including availability on off work day hours.
  • Highly analytical, able to interpret large and small-scale data and visualize it.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile ecosystem with multiple interconnected products.
  • Professional-level English communication skills.
  • Independent and fast learner.
  • Team player, win-win attitude.
  • Driven by values of accountability, attention to detail, and proactivity.

Nice to Have:

  • Hands-on experience with Python (including 2.7), Bash. Java or C++ experience is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform (and other HashiCorp tools).
  • Hands-on experience with HTTP REST APIs and security considerations such as OAuth and CORS.
  • Hands-on experience with Monitoring tools, among them - ELK, Grafana, Graphite (+StatsD), InfluxDB, Zabbix are a plus.
  • Using AI tools.
