Job Purpose:
Step into a high-impact role where you’ll drive strategic procurement decisions that directly influence operational efficiency, cost optimization, and business continuity. As a Senior Engineer – Purchase, you won’t just execute buying—you’ll shape supplier strategy, strengthen vendor ecosystems, and enable seamless production through smart sourcing and negotiation
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Procurement & Sourcing
- Take complete ownership of procurement—from RFQs to final delivery.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms to drive real cost savings.
- Plan purchases in line with production and project needs—no firefighting, only smart planning.
- Contribute directly to budgeting and long- strategies term sourcing.
Build & Strengthen Supplier Network
- Develop a strong, reliable vendor base—not just transactional buying.
- Evaluate, onboard, and improve supplier performance (cost, quality, delivery).
- Create alternate sourcing options to reduce risks and avoid dependency.
- Drive long-term supplier partnerships, not short-term deals.
Work Closely with Core Business Teams
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Finance daily.
- Ensure smooth material flow and zero disruption to operations.
- Solve supply challenges proactively, not reactively.
- Use ERP systems (SAGE / JD Edwards) to manage and streamline procurement.
Drive Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Work in a structured, ISO-driven environment with clear processes.
- Expedite suppliers are required to drive on-time delivery of materials and services
- Track key metrics like on-time delivery, cost savings, and inventory efficiency.
- Lead improvement initiatives that directly impact business performance.
- Bring discipline and efficiency through best practices like 5S, and Lean.
What We’re Looking For
- 7–10 years of hands-on procurement experience in manufacturing or engineering industries.
- Strong expertise in sourcing strategy, vendor development, and contract/commercial management.
- Skilled in supplier audits, performance management, and cost optimization.
- ERP proficiency (SAGE / JD Edwards preferred).
- Strong negotiation, analytical thinking, and stakeholder management skills
