Accounting Supervisor

On behalf of our client, a leading multinational company in the industrial sector, we are seeking an Accounting Supervisor.

Main Responsibilities

• Ensure the smooth operation of the accounting department and full compliance with accounting and tax regulations
• Supervise, guide, and evaluate the accounting team
• Ensure accurate accounting records in accordance with Greek GAAP and IFRS
• Monitor and manage tax obligations (VAT, withholding taxes, tax filings)
• Oversee the correct functioning and submissions of 'myData' and provide support during tax audits
• Prepare financial statements and management reports, and participate in the annual financial closing process
• Liaise with external partners and auditors during audit processes
• Monitor cash flow, perform bank reconciliations, and review balance sheets
• Support the team with ad hoc financial analyses
• Drive process improvements and implement internal controls and compliance procedures

Requirements

• BS'c degree in Economics, Accounting & Finance, or Business Administration
• MS'c degree in a related financial field will be considered an asset
• Professional certifications in Greek GAAP and IFRS will be considered an asset
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with IFRS
• Excellent knowledge and experience with SAP and good understanding of myData
• Certified A’ Class Accountant license is desired
• Excellent command of both Greek and English
