Work Location: Hybrid (1 day a week) 1735 N. Lynn Street, Arlington, VA 22209-2020.

Reporting Hours: Standard Business Hours, Eastern Standard Time

Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Moderate Background Investigation (MBI) clearance

Geocgi is seeking a GIS Systems Administrator to support our work with the U.S. Postal Service Office of Inspector General (USPS OIG). This role focuses on administering and maintaining enterprise GIS environments, supporting geospatial applications and services, and ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable GIS operations supporting audits, investigations, and operational analysis. The ideal candidate brings strong experience with ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online administration, geospatial system support, and enterprise GIS operations, along with the ability to collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to deliver impactful geospatial solutions. This is a hybrid role, with expectation of onsite support 1 day a week at USPS OIG office location 1735 N. Lynn Street, Arlington, VA 22209-2020.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online environments, including users, groups, permissions, licensing, and content management.
  • License and manage ArcGIS applications and extensions utilizing concurrent and single-use licensing methods.
  • Support deployment, maintenance, upgrade and troubleshooting of ArcGIS Enterprise Base Deployment, GeoEvent Server, GIS applications and enterprise geospatial services.
  • Collaborate with Esri technical support and internal stakeholders to support cloud-based GIS deployments and operational environments.
  • Maintain system documentation, operational procedures, and environment configurations.
  • Configure and support mapping dashboards, web applications, and geospatial services using ArcGIS Portal authoring tools.
  • Conduct spatial analysis and support geospatial workflows using ArcGIS Pro.
  • Work closely with internal customers to understand requirements and communicate the value of GIS and location intelligence solutions.
  • Create and maintain maps and geospatial products supporting audits, investigations, and operational initiatives.

The following are requirements of the GIS Systems Administrator:

  • S. Citizen and Active U.S. Passport.
  • 8+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience designing, implementing, or administering ArcGIS Enterprise or similar geospatial platforms.
  • Experience with at least one scripting language such as Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, or C#.
  • Experience with relational databases and SQL (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).

The following are preferred of the GIS Systems Administrator:

  • GISP, CompTIA Security+, Esri Enterprise, AWS or Azure certifications
  • Experience supporting enterprise GIS cloud environments
  • Familiarity with AWS or cloud-hosted GIS deployments
  • Experience supporting federal customers or operational GIS environments
  • Esri certifications or enterprise GIS training
  • Experience supporting GIS systems used for investigations, operational analysis, or auditing efforts

The annual base salary range for this position is anticipated to be $90,000 $135,000 USD. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position.
