At Kubota Australia we distribute exceptional quality agriculture, construction and farm machinery and products. This position focuses on developing, analysing and maintaining pricing strategies and information to agreed business requirements and criteria. You will act as a subject matter expert/ consultant to the business to ensure effective pricing decision making.
In your new role, your key accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
- Act as subject matter expert and consultant to the business to ensure compliance with internal policy and governance and in relation to a broad range of pricing decisions, including but not limited to decisions around price, margins, cost structures, discounts, promotions influenced by demand, lifecycle stage and current/ projected inventory levels
- Undertake regular rigorous customer, dealer, competitor and market data analysis and ongoing monitoring, informing the business across a range of forums and mediums
- Develop and maintain pricing models for specific spare parts categories
- Ensure parts pricing margins are correctly set, parts pricing accuracy and maintenance of data in the ERP system, including other data integrity activity such as assisting with annual price file updates from suppliers
- Undertake a broad range of reporting, to schedule and ad hoc, such as but not limited to; profitability analysis, pricing performance reporting, dashboards and overall performance to company level parts sales targets, compliance/ audit reporting
- Participate in and/ or act as subject matter expert on relevant Departmental or cross functional projects
- Implement initiatives to improve the parts pricing function, data and systems/ record-keeping (with approval)
- Investigate and respond to dealer pricing review requests, escalating as appropriate
- As directed, support master data uploads ensuring data accuracy is maintained within the ERP system. May perform Senior Master Data Analyst duties (as required, refer Senior Master Data Analyst Position Description)
- Other duties within the limits of knowledge, skill and capability (as directed)
- Ensure the health and safety of self, contractors, visitors and others in the workplace. Ensure OHS policy and procedures are adhered to
Requirements
To be successful in this role, your resume would include:
- Secondary education
- Tertiary qualification in relevant discipline/ business (desired)
- Senior subject matter expert experience in a similar position with a focus on data analysis, pricing strategy and execution with proven commercial results. Experience gained within spare parts context (desirable)
- Experience in setting pricing and margins of goods along with exposure to revenue and expense control principles
- Well developed general business acumen with exposure to sales/ consumer behaviour/ marketing
- Well developed interpersonal and communication skills with a particular focus on consultation/ collaboration skills, report writing and presenting data and driving data driven decisions
- Strong numeric capability. Highly developed analytical skill
- Attention to detail
- Proven planning and organisational expertise
- Product knowledge of agricultural equipment, construction machinery and power equipment (desirable)
- Strong working knowledge of ERP systems for spare parts management, including advanced SAP system skill
- Highly developed general computing skills across the Google suite and advanced Sheets/ Excel capability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced warehouse environment
