Join a leading agricultural machinery brand and play a hands-on role supporting customers, dealers, and sales teams through expert product knowledge, in-field demonstrations, and technical support.

As a Sales Support Specialist, you will work closely with dealers, customers, Zone Managers, and Regional Service Managers to delivery high-quality product demonstrations, training, and technical support. You will be a key representative of the brand at field days, product launches, customers events, and industry activities.

This is a highly practical, field-based role requiring strong machinery knowledge, customer engagement skills, and the ability to troubleshoot and optimise product performance in real operation environments.

Key Accountabilities include, but not limited to:

  • Develop and deliver product training and in field coaching/ capability development for allocated product category/s
  • Field set-up and in-field optimisation of products ensuring products perform to full potential
  • Undertake in-field sales demonstration of products
  • Undertake a range of administrative activity including but not limited to; coordination with dealer/ user, attendance administration, risk assessments for demonstrations, survey/ experience/ outcomes monitoring
  • Undertake data analysis, reporting activity and presenting information on an ad hoc or scheduled basis, including but not limited to; product performance, reporting any technical issues, customer service improvement metrics, product offering feedback and lead/ sales objectives
  • Act as a representative of the Kubota brand and as a product specialist representative of Kubota at external events, including but not limited to; product launches, field days, industry events
  • Undertake relationship management activity with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including Dealers, Kubota Zone Managers and Regional Service Managers.  Act as a key point of contact on the set-up of allocated products for optimum in-field performance
  • May participate in a range of organisational or departmental projects to optimise product or sales related operations or objectives (as required)

Requirements

To be successful is this role, your resume would include:

  • License/ ticket/ certification relevant to product being demonstrated (as applicable)
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Valid Passport and satisfy all conditions allowing interstate or international travel
  • Significant experience operating machinery, relating to the product category
  • Proven applied understanding of, and experience with, as well as mechanical aptitude relevant to the product category/s. Includes applied practical in-field understanding of product/ machinery, production techniques and performance requirements
  • Significant hands-on subject matter expert experience in a similar product specialist position with a focus on the development and delivery of training and in-field coaching/ capability development and full range of use product demonstration
  • Proven relationship management, consultancy and customer service experience
  • Highly developed problem-solving skills relating to in-field performance optimisation of relevant products
  • Basic knowledge of sales processes, including lead generation, customer engagement, needs assessment, product presentation, objection handling, and closing techniques, supported by strong communication, relationship-building, and customer-focused selling skills
  • Strong professional communication skills (including report writing)
  • Strong attention to detail, including in relation to set-up and presentation of products
  • Well-developed planning and organisational skills
  • Applied knowledge of relevant and applicable New Zealand Standards and Trade Practices Act, International Standards and applicable OHS legislation
  • Proficient in the use of a range of applications, including but not limited to; SAP, MS SharePoint, MS Office/ Google Suites

* An inherent requirement of this position is significant regional travel with occasional international travel
