We are currently seeking a motivated and relationship-focused Commercial Loan Officer to support business growth in the Canandaigua market.
This position reports to the Commercial Lending Team Leader and is responsible for developing commercial relationships, managing loan portfolios, and providing banking solutions to business customers.
Essential Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain commercial banking relationships
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the market
- Evaluate commercial loan requests and recommend appropriate lending solutions
- Manage and service an existing commercial loan portfolio
- Cross-sell bank products and services based on customer needs
- Maintain compliance with bank policies, procedures, and applicable regulations
- Collaborate with internal departments to support loan processing and customer service
- Monitor loan performance and maintain accurate documentation
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field required
- Minimum of five (5) years of Commercial Lending experience required
- Strong business development and relationship management skills
- Knowledge of commercial lending practices, credit analysis, and banking regulations
- Familiarity with governmental guarantee lending programs preferred
- Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
