Position Overview
The Integration Lead plays a critical role in overseeing and coordinating the integration of complex electrical systems within large-scale manufacturing and engineering projects. This position is responsible for ensuring all electrical components, subsystems, and assemblies are seamlessly integrated, tested, and validated to meet performance, quality, and safety standards.
The Integration Lead will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, quality, and program management to drive project execution, troubleshoot technical challenges, and support successful product delivery. This role will directly lead a team of 18 industrial technicians, production line, and support engineers while maintaining alignment to production schedules, customer expectations, and operational goals.
Ultimately, the Integration Lead ensures fully integrated electrical systems are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget.
### Key Responsibilities- Lead day-to-day electrical integration activities from assembly through final system validation.
- Supervise and support a team of 18 industrial technicians, production leads, and support engineers.
- Coordinate cross-functional integration efforts between engineering, manufacturing, quality, and program teams.
- Develop and execute integration schedules, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies to meet production milestones.
- Ensure all electrical systems and assemblies comply with customer specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation during integration and testing phases.
- Monitor production progress, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and quality.
- Provide technical mentorship, training, and leadership development to technicians and junior team members.
- Support process documentation, work instructions, and integration best practices.
- Maintain a safe working environment and promote adherence to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical systems integration, manufacturing, or related technical environments.
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, harness routing, and integration processes.
- Proven leadership experience managing technicians, production teams, or integration personnel in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience troubleshooting complex electrical and mechanical integration issues.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as NEC, IEEE, and applicable safety regulations.
- Experience with automated test equipment, diagnostic tools, and integration software systems.
- Background in aerospace, automotive, defense, or other highly regulated manufacturing industries.
- Experience supporting low-rate initial production (LRIP) or high-volume production environments.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Agile project management methodologies.
