Mechanical Estimator

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed mechanical estimates by reviewing drawings, specifications, and scope.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and cost analysis for materials, labor, and equipment.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to gather required information.
• Review subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure accuracy.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide value engineering suggestions.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market pricing and industry standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator within the construction or mechanical services industry.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including HVAC and plant equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with estimation software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering, construction, or related fields are desirable.
