🚛 Logistics + Transportation Leadership Opportunity
Honor Foods is looking for an Assistant Transportation Manager to support our daily transportation and logistics operations.
This role is heavily focused on:
- Logistics coordination
- Freight movement
- Transportation operations
- Driver support
- Route execution
- Customer deliveries
We’re looking for someone with strong logistics experience who also understands an asset-based transportation environment.
What You’ll Do
Transportation Operations
✔ Support daily transportation and delivery operations
✔ Help oversee drivers, dispatchers, and logistics coordinators
✔ Monitor routes, delivery schedules, and driver productivity
✔ Assist with truck maintenance and operational issues
✔ Partner with warehouse teams to ensure efficient route departures
Logistics & Freight
✔ Coordinate outbound freight and shipment activity
✔ Monitor shipping schedules and freight movement
✔ Work with carriers, vendors, and internal departments
✔ Review bills of lading and shipping paperwork
✔ Help improve operational efficiency and reduce costs
Safety & Compliance
✔ Support DOT and transportation compliance
✔ Maintain transportation records and operational documentation
✔ Assist with safety initiatives and accident investigations
Leadership
✔ Coach and support transportation and logistics team members
✔ Help drive accountability and communication across the team
✔ Support a positive, fast-paced operational environment
What We’re Looking For
✔ Logistics and transportation experience
✔ Strong freight coordination and logistics background
✔ Asset-based transportation experience preferred
✔ Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
✔ DOT knowledge preferred
✔ Strong communication and problem-solving skills
✔ Microsoft Office experience (Excel & Outlook)
