Slurry Seal Equipment Operator
Position Overview
The Slurry Seal Equipment Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining specialized
equipment used in the application of slurry seal to road surfaces. This role requires knowledge of road
construction processes, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and quality
workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate and maintain slurry seal equipment, including slurry trucks and spreader boxes
• Ensure proper calibration for accurate and uniform application
• Prepare road surfaces by cleaning and removing debris
• Mix and apply slurry seal materials to required specifications
• Perform routine maintenance and minor equipment repairs
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and adjust as needed
• Follow all safety procedures and regulations
• Maintain records of materials, equipment, and project progress
Requirements & Qualifications
• Previous experience operating slurry seal or similar equipment
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• High attention to detail and quality
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Work Environment & Schedule
• Work performed outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat
• Physically demanding work requiring standing, walking, and lifting
• Overtime required based on project needs
• Weekend work required as needed
• Travel required within Arizona and out of town depending on project location
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must possess a valid, clean driver’s license
- Able to work outdoors with the AZ heat
- Traveling is require up to 80% with in AZ / Including weekends
- Clean driver’s license (3–5 years, no violations)
