Paving Screed Operator

A Paving Screed Operator operates the screed on an asphalt paving crew to ensure a smooth, even pavement surface that meets required grade, thickness, and quality standards.

• Operate and control the screed to level and smooth asphalt

• Adjust screed height, angle, and width as needed
• Monitor asphalt flow and surface quality during paving
• Perform basic equipment checks, cleaning, and maintenance
• Work closely with the paving crew to maintain safe and efficient operations
• Follow safety rules and project specifications

Requirements

• 2 Years Experience
• Experience operating paving or heavy construction equipment preferred
• Ability to work outdoors in hot and physically demanding conditions
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions
• Valid driver’s license (clean driving record)
• Able to travel and work flexible hours as required
• Must pass drug testing
• Clean CDL A Required. (clean driving record)
