Virtualization Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Administering the virtual computing environment (such as VMware vSphere);
• Administering monitoring solutions for virtual environments;
• Patch management;
• Managing backups and restores;
• Administering, supporting and monitoring of hardware servers, fibre optic fabrics and data storage;
• Troubleshooting of virtual environments;
• Tuning, optimizing and capacity planning;
• Recommending and implementing best practices and security standards;
• Updating the technical documentation and operating procedures;
• Implementing changes according to ICT change management procedures;
• Providing 2nd line support to other IT teams and coordinating with 3rd line of support;
• Participation in coordination and project meetings;
• Other specific duties aligned to profile as assigned by supervisor;
• Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the continued implementation of the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy. 

Requirements

• University degree;
• Minimum 5 years of IT professional experience;
• Minimum 2 years of experience in similar position;
• Nutanix Certified Professional - Multicloud Infrastructure certificate (NCP-MCI);
• Experience with Vmware vSAN;
• Experience with HPE SAN Storage arrays (e.g., HPE Primera);
• Experience in administration of complex and large virtual environments (such as VMware vSphere or Nutanix);
• Experience with virtual environments’ monitoring tools (such as VMware Aria Operations);
• Experience updating and upgrading virtual environments and related products;
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking;
• Experience in collaborating with multiple support groups;
• Experience with ticketing systems and ITIL based change management, configuration management and release management processes;
• Vmware VCP-DCV 6.X or higher or related similar certificate;
• Very good knowledge of the English language (B2).
