We’re looking for a Head of Supply Chain to join our team in Munich, Germany.

The Head of Global Supply Chain leads end-to-end operations within Supply Chain, overseeing planning, logistics, and customer service. Acting as a vital link between global strategy and local execution, the role ensures seamless product flow, cost efficiency, and service excellence. Operating in a matrix structure, it drives alignment with global systems while tailoring execution to meet market-specific needs and customer expectations.

Responsibilities include:

      • Lead the local supply chain function, aligning with global strategies while tailoring execution to market needs.
      • Represent supply chain on the Market Unit leadership team, contributing to overall business strategy.
      • Implement global policies and planning processes, including S&OP, in collaboration with the Global Supply Chain team.
      • Oversee demand and supply planning to ensure accurate forecasting, optimal inventory, and minimal waste.
      • Manage warehousing, transport, and third-party logistics to ensure efficient and compliant product flow.
      • Lead the customer service team to deliver high service levels, manage escalations, and meet fulfilment targets.
      • Develop and coach a high-performing team across planning, logistics, and customer services.
      • Monitor supply chain performance metrics and budget adherence, taking corrective action as needed.
      • Collaborate across functions to ensure plans reflect sourcing, customer, finance, and quality requirements.
      • Drive continuous improvement, cost-efficiency, and alignment between global KPIs and local execution.

Requirements

Education: 

    • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field (required) 
    • Master’s degree or equivalent qualification (preferred) 

Professional Experience: 

    • Proven experience of progressive supply chain experience, including significant leadership responsibilities 
    • Proven success in managing cross-functional supply chain teams across demand planning, logistics, and customer service 
    • Experience in FMCG, fresh produce, or perishable goods environments highly desirable 
    • Familiarity with ERP systems and global supply chain processes 

Technical & Strategic Skills: 

    • Deep understanding of supply chain planning (S&OP), inventory management, logistics, and order fulfilment 
    • Strong analytical skills with experience using supply chain data to drive decision-making 
    • Competence in process optimisation and change management
    • Advanced knowledge of supply chain systems, BI tools, and performance metrics (OTIF, waste, forecast accuracy, etc.)

    • Collaborative and capable of managing across functional and reporting lines 
    • Resilient, pragmatic, and solutions-oriented 
    • Highly organised, with excellent problem-solving and prioritisation skills 
    • Customer-focused with a continuous improvement mindset 
    • Able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on operational delivery 
    • Complete fluency in both English and German is essential
