This position is responsible for a portfolio of operational systems that optimize safety, productivity, and environmental sustainability. They will also be collaborating with innovative software, hardware, and service suppliers to develop, deliver, and maintain these systems.
To be successful, we are looking for someone with sophisticated problem-solving and decision-making skills, along with experience supporting a complex architecture of software, servers, databases and distributed field assets. Design, integrate, and sustain a robust portfolio of Digital Mining Systems across EVR operations by ensuring the seamless performance of autonomous and conventional fleet management, high-precision guidance, and geotechnical safety systems—all while maintaining a commitment to safe production

Develop and leverage relationships across EVR operations and corporate offices to facilitate alignment of objectives and encourage communication and collaboration between operations in all geographic regions

Apply organizational change management techniques to derive more value from existing technologies and ensure maximum adoption of new technologies

Mentor and coach a group of permanent and contract technology professionals

Cultivate your professional growth through a blend of independent learning and cross-functional collaboration with Digital Systems and Operations teams

Develop and maintain standards, procedures and documentation

Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support

Enhance and defend the digital environment through proactive security upgrades, decisive incident response, and forensic deep-dives

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer or Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a Technical Diploma with equivalent experience

Five or more years of progressively senior level experience delivering and supporting information technology services in an industrial setting

Strong commitment to customer satisfaction and the ability to maintain strong relationships with business partners, business management and application users

Strong cross-functional team participant and collaborative approach to problem solving

Deployment and/or support of any of the following platforms: CAT (Minestar, Terrain, TPM), Komatsu (Frontrunner, Dispatch), Wenco, Carlson Grade, Hexagon Safemine, GeoExplorer, IBIS, Ground Probe would be an asset

Programming experience with C#, Node.JS, SQL , Python and PowerShell would be an asset
