About the Role
The Molecular Technician supports the processing of cell lines and molecular organisms used in production. This role works in a regulated laboratory environment and plays a critical part in ensuring products are manufactured accurately, safely, and according to quality and regulatory standards. Depending on experience, this role may also support training, process improvements, and day-to-day team leadership.
What You'll Do
- Process cell line and molecular products following standard operating procedures
- Prepare sterility samples, perform testing, and interpret technical data
- Complete batch records, lot documentation, and production paperwork accurately and on time
- Maintain sterile workspaces and follow clean room and aseptic techniques
- Adhere to quality systems, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements (FDA/ISO)
- Communicate production issues, deviations, or concerns to leadership
- Participate in safety training, team meetings, and cross-functional collaboration
- Support training, inventory management, preventative maintenance, or process improvements based on level
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working in a laboratory or regulated manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures
- Comfort working with biological materials using aseptic techniques
- Basic proficiency operating laboratory equipment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining quality and accuracy
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
• Hands-on laboratory experience
• Comfort working in a BSL-2 laboratory environment
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and laboratory equipment
• Ability to follow procedures with a strong focus on quality and compliance
Preferred Qualifications:
• Degree or coursework in a science-related field
• Experience with cell culture, microbiology or molecular lab techniques
Work Environment
- Climate-controlled Biohazard Level II laboratory
- Use of clean room personal protective equipment for extended periods
- Standing for long durations with occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds
- Exposure to biological materials and cold storage areas
