Our client, the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training (CEPOL), is an agency of the European Union dedicated to developing, implementing and coordinating training for law enforcement officials. The Centre is located in Budapest, Hungary. Civitta in cooperation with with I-DEAL Informatikai, Szolgáltató és Kereskedelmi Kft. is providing temporary staffing services to the agency.
Legal Officer
As a Legal Officer at CEPOL, you will work closely with the Data Protection Officer (DPO) to provide sound legal advice and enhance the legality of the agency's activities. You will handle complex files independently, ensuring compliance with privacy standards and supporting the annual objectives of the Legal/DPO office.
### You will:
Handle requests for public access to documents, including necessary blanking/redaction support
Provide independent legal analysis on operational and corporate files, such as cloud contracting (SaaS) and IT tool data protection arrangements
Prepare and update privacy statements and support data controllers in maintaining the CEPOL data processing Registry
Assist in the legal assessment of documents for legal proceedings and handle EDPS (European Data Protection Supervisor) requests
Review procurement files, including tender documentation, evaluation reports, and decisions
Act as a trainer alongside the DPO regarding data protection and public access to documents
Assist in preparing Management Board (MB) and Executive Director (ED) decisions
### Requirements:
University degree (3 years of study) in Law or International Studies
At least 3 years of relevant professional experience
Proven experience or studies in fields related to the job profile (Law, Administration, Procurement, or Contracting)
Excellent command of English (C1 level); working knowledge of French (B2) is an asset
Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
High degree of organizational skills and the ability to manage priorities effectively
Advantageous: Experience in European Law, Data Protection, or working within an international organization

Full-time temporary role from 1 June2026 until 31 December 2026
Salary: EUR 3,856.18 gross per month
