About this role

At this time a Claims Adjuster II is needed to process inbound claim contacts from dealers, repair facilities, sales agents, contract holders, etc. via applicable channels.
 
 
The Claims Adjuster II position offers a work from home/remote opportunity, unless commuting to a Protective office location that is within reasonable commuting distance. 
 
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 10:30am - 7:00pm CST or equivalent if outside CST time zone.  
### Functions and Responsibilities:
  • 80% of time: Process queue contacts from the claims queues, email and or chat channels from dealers, repair facilities, sales/agents as well as internal and external customers.
  • 10% of time: Process various requests from managers and lead adjuster. Correspond with various vendors throughout the claim adjudication process as needed.
  • 10% of time: Other duties as assigned, delegated by management. Examples include; assisting in claim estimation or cost comparison utilizing vendors.
  • ### Basic Requirements:
    •    Working knowledge of service contract, insurance or automotive industry 
    •    Proficiency working within a claims or automotive type setting
    •    Excellent verbal and written communication skills and comfortable communicating with various stakeholders, both internal and external
    ### Required Expereince:
    •    1-2 years of experience working within a fast-paced automotive, insurance or claims environment
    •    Some automotive experience, working within a service department as a technician, service writer, or warranty administrator         
    ### Required Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Automotive training or experience preferred
  • Some college preferred
  • Similar work experience in lieu of education acceptable
  • Mechanical certifications (ASE) a plus
