Job Description
The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for providing reprocessed supplies and equipment required by all departments that render patient care. In this position, you'll ensure that all instruments are sterile, which will help maintain a safe environment for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
The Sterile Processing Tech shall be knowledgeable and implement the decontamination, preparing and sterilization of surgical supplies and equipment.
Assembles case carts containing consumable supplies and instrumentation.
Cleans/decontaminates surgical instruments.
Identifies and assembles multiple types of surgical instruments and instrument sets.
Inspects instruments, replaces or send for repairs.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED
2 years experience in sterile processing
Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) or equivalent certification
Basic Life Support (BLS)
