Job Description
Job Summary
Shriners Hospitals for Children is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) for our Critical Care Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). This role involves providing high-quality, specialized nursing care to pediatric patients recovering from anesthesia and surgery, with a focus on critical care needs.
Key Responsibilities
The PACU Registered Nurse provides nursing care to our pediatric patients within the recovery room, performs assessments and interventions designed to keep the patients safe after surgery.
The RN provides leadership through activities such as preceptor role and quality improvement efforts.
Required Qualifications
BSN degree or in process
State RN License
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification or obtained within one year of hire
2 years' experience in Post Anesthesia Care Unit or ICU
Preferred Qualifications
Pediatric experience
