Job Description
Job Summary
The Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) within Inpatient Services II at Shriners Hospitals for Children provides specialized nursing care to pediatric patients with complex medical conditions, focusing on rehabilitation, orthopedic, and burn care. This role involves direct patient care, collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, and patient/family education within a supportive and family-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities
The Inpatient RN is responsible for the coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care in a collaborative, family-centered environment.
The RN supports professional nursing practice across practice settings and across the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family.
This position will provide leadership by acting as an informal and formal leader, preceptor and through quality improvement efforts.
Required Qualifications
RN in state of practice
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
BSN
Preferred Qualifications
2 years' experience in acute care nursing
Bilingual English/Spanish
