Why Your Job is Important:
The Pricing Analyst plays a critical role in supporting profitable business growth by delivering accurate, competitive, and timely transportation quotations for Ocean and Air Import and Export services. This position contributes to the company pricing strategy, strengthens carrier relationships, and provides market intelligence to support commercial decision-making and customer retention.
The Pricing Analyst is responsible for developing competitive pricing solutions for international freight forwarding opportunities across Ocean and Air, Import and Export services. The role involves sourcing rates from carriers, airlines, co-loaders, overseas offices, and partners; analyzing market conditions; evaluating profitability; and preparing accurate quotations that support business growth while maintaining company margins.
WHAT YOU DO:
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and competitive quotations for Ocean and Air Freight Import and Export shipments.
- Respond to quotation requests within established service levels (24 hours standard, 48 hours for complex requests).
- Utilize approved pricing tools, quotation databases, and company templates.
- Ensure all transportation, port, airport, storage, demurrage, and accessorial charges remain updated.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, airlines, co-loaders, trucking companies, and service providers.
- Negotiate rates and commercial conditions when opportunities exist.
- Monitor market trends, capacity constraints, GRIs, PSSs, fuel adjustments, and other pricing developments.
- Partner with Sales teams to develop winning pricing strategies for opportunities, RFQs, and tenders.
- Maintain quote logs and capture win/loss feedback and rejection reasons.
- Generate reports and provide pricing analytics and recommendations to management.
- Protect confidential commercial information and ensure compliance with company policies.

Qualifications
- Experience in Freight Forwarding, Logistics, Transportation, or Supply Chain Management.
- Experience in Ocean Freight and Air Freight pricing.
- Knowledge of Import and Export operations.
- Understanding of carrier contracts, surcharges, Incoterms, and international shipping practices.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced English communication skills (written and verbal).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Experience pricing multimodal, healthcare, high-value, or time-sensitive cargo is an advantage.
