We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our AI Innovation Team in Barcelona, supporting Life Sciences & Healthcare (LS&H) products. This role sits within our central AI Innovation function, driving how AI capabilities are defined, standardized, and delivered across the portfolio.

As AI initiatives continue to scale rapidly across R&D, Commercial, and MedTech, you will work closely with product teams to embed AI into customer-facing solutions. This is an internally facing role, advising product managers and leading technical product areas—such as the AI Platform—to enable scalable, high-impact AI features.

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, or related technical field, or relevant equivalent work experience.

  • 7+ years of experience in Product Management within technology-driven environments, ideally involving data products.

  • Experience in Life Sciences, with strong domain expertise to effectively translate industry needs into high-value AI solutions.

  • 5+ years of experience building AI/ML or GenAI-driven products, with hands-on experience in LLMs and delivering enterprise-grade AI features.

It would be great if you also have . . .  

  • The ideal candidate will have experience in the life sciences sector with familiarity across R&D, MedTech, and Commercial functions, complemented by an understanding of AI-driven innovation within the industry.

  • Master’s in business administration (MBA) or Product Management certification.

  • Courses or certifications in AI, ML, or GenAI tools.

  • Proficiency with Jira and Confluence.

  • An understanding of agentic workflows and prompt engineering processes.

  • Some familiarity with core engineering or infrastructure concepts.

What will you be doing in this role?

  • Define and drive the AI strategy and innovation roadmap across the Life Sciences & Healthcare portfolio.

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams to design and deliver scalable, production‑ready AI solutions.

  • Translate business challenges into AI opportunities, defining clear product requirements, success criteria, and measurable impact.

  • Enable faster transition from validated ideas to production by working closely with delivery teams and promoting reusable service patterns.

  • Drive consistency and quality in how AI capabilities are designed, standardized (e.g., MCP patterns), and exposed to customers.

  • Oversee the evolution of the Clarivate AI Platform and LLM Playground, ensuring alignment with business needs and supporting experimentation.

  • Define and implement observability, tracing, and evaluation capabilities to support governance and responsible AI practices.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize high-impact use cases and support adoption of AI solutions across the portfolio.

About the Team

You’ll be joining Clarivate’s AI Innovation Team, a global, cross-functional group of product, data science, and engineering professionals driving the adoption of AI across the Life Sciences & Healthcare (LS&H) portfolio. As a central function, the team plays a key role in shaping how AI capabilities are defined, standardized, and scaled across products.

Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, primarily working core business hours in CET time zone, with flexibility to adjust to various global time zones as needed.  

This is a hybrid position working in the office 2-3 days a week.
