Job Title: Program Administrator – Schusterman Center
Salary Range: $55.9k-$68k
Who We Are
The Schusterman Center is a vibrant, fast-paced academic hub dedicated to fostering deep exploration, rigorous research, and robust dialogue in Israel studies. We bring world-class scholars, thought leaders, and diverse perspectives to campus. We believe in the power of academic freedom and intellectual curiosity—and we need an operational superstar to help us bring our mission to life.
The Role: The Ultimate Coordinator
Are you someone who thrives on logistics? Do you get a sense of deep satisfaction from a perfectly color-coded calendar, a flawless event budget, and a seamless guest experience?
As our Program Administrator, you are the logistical spine of the Center. This is not just an administrative job; it is a role for a juggler who can hold a dozen moving parts at once without letting a single detail slip through the cracks. From coordinating complex speaker series to building bridges across campus departments, you will put our programs into practice from concept to closing remarks.
What You Will Do (The Day-to-Day)
Master the Logistics: Own the execution of our events, lectures, and programs from top to bottom—managing catering, room bookings, travel coordination, and audio-visual setups.
Navigate the Campus Ecosystem: Act as our primary liaison to key campus stakeholders, partnering seamlessly with University Events, Facilities, Public Safety, and Procurement to get things done efficiently.
Keep Us Organized: Maintain a high-volume administrative workflow, tracking expenses, managing schedules, and keeping the Center running like a well-oiled machine.
Provide World-Class Hospitality: Act as the welcoming, professional face of the Center for visiting scholars, dignitaries, students, and faculty.
Who You Are
Incredibly Organized: You do not just handle a lot of things at once; you have a proven system for doing it. Your attention to detail is your superpower.
A Diplomatic Professional: Our center hosts speakers from a wide array of backgrounds presenting diverse, complex, and sometimes polarizing viewpoints. You pride yourself on strict professional neutrality, ensuring every guest is treated with hospitality and every event is executed flawlessly, independent of your personal opinions or politics.
A Collaborative Problem-Solver: You know how to build great rapport with other departments and can solve unexpected, last-minute event challenges with a calm, cool head.
Qualifications & Preferences
Proven experience in event coordination, project management, or high-level higher education administration.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Comfort with financial tracking, basic budgeting, and administrative software.
Hebrew language knowledge is a plus (preferred but not required!).
Why You Will Love Working Here
You will be part of a dedicated, intellectually stimulating environment where your organizational brilliance directly impacts the campus community. If you love a job where no two days are the same, where you get to build meaningful partnerships, and where your knack for details can truly shine, we want to hear from you.
How to Apply
Please submit your resume and a cover letter detailing your relevant event coordination experience and how you manage complex administrative workflows.
