Job Description

The Configuration Engineer (CAMO) plays a critical role in safeguarding the airworthiness and regulatory compliance of Etihad’s fleet by ensuring accurate aircraft and engine configuration data management within the approved IT system (AMOS). This role is instrumental during aircraft and engine transitions, maintenance program updates, and configuration control, supporting Etihad’s safety, reliability, and operational efficiency goals.

Accountabilities

• Maintain and monitor aircraft, engine, and component configuration data in AMOS, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance across the Etihad fleet.
• Validate and update component counters and life-limited parts based on vendor documentation, engine shop visits, and AMP (Aircraft Maintenance Program) revisions.
• Establish and maintain master and unit configurations for all new and existing airframes and assemblies, including aircraft entering or leaving the fleet.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Programs, Engineering, and Technical Records teams to ensure consistent configuration standards and adherence to company procedures.
• Prepare and submit compliance and transition reports, including for End of Lease, Phase-In/Phase-Out, and Continuing Airworthiness Reviews.
• Resolve discrepancies in configuration data and system records through coordination with relevant internal departments and external vendors.
• Manage the creation of part numbers and aircraft configurations in collaboration with the Engineering/AMP teams.
• Ensure accuracy in flight sector data synchronization between operational systems (e.g., eATL, MIS).
• Lead training initiatives and orientations on AMOS functionality and configuration control processes within the team.
• Contribute to workload management and performance tracking for configuration team members.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering Fields, or Aircraft Maintenance License, with a minimum of three years of experience in aviation maintenance or another engineering field (preferably Airline Engineering). 
• Alternatively, a Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance with five years of experience in an aviation engineering and maintenance.
• Knowledge of aircraft maintenance and engineering processes—including engineering, maintenance planning, and supply chain operations—along with a strong understanding of applicable aviation regulations and compliance requirements.
