Department Overview

This position is an open position broadly recruiting "Sales Professionals" who will serve as drivers of business growth within each business of the Commerce & Marketing Company and the Ad & Media Company, both of which are central to the Rakuten Group's core operations.

Placement is anticipated in one of the following two companies:

Commerce & Marketing Company:
Primarily offering internet services related to shopping, daily life, and leisure, this company provides various services that make everyday life more enjoyable and convenient.

Ad & Media Company:
Through advertising and marketing solutions and media businesses, this company supports the business growth of clients and provides valuable information and entertainment to users.

About Open position
For candidates who have not yet decided on a specific application position, we will broadly consider "Sales Professional" positions related to various services within the Commerce & Marketing Company and the Ad & Media Company, based on your experience and skills.
If you pass the document screening, we will propose a first interview for a specific position.

Examples of Sales Professional Responsibilities
Commerce & Marketing Company:
- Consulting sales to Rakuten Ichiba merchant clients as an EC consultant
- Proposing new affiliations with Rakuten Travel to hotels and ryokans nationwide
- Collaborating with merchant brands to plan and execute marketing strategies that lead to brand value improvement, as well as special projects like limited-edition products and pre-sales for Rakuten members, etc

Ad & Media Company:
- Interviewing advertisers and merchants about their challenges and providing consulting sales based on those insights
- New client acquisition within the assigned domain
- Proposing upsells and cross-sells, and building long-term relationships
- Planning and proposing integrated marketing solutions combining Rakuten Group's assets (data, media, points, etc.)
- Strengthening collaboration with advertising agencies, and planning/executing sales promotion measures, etc

- Primarily in their 20s and 30s.

Mandatory Qualifications:

- At least 2 years of corporate sales experience (industry background not specified)
- Basic PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- University degree or higher

Desired Qualifications:

- Experience in solution sales for intangible products/services
- Sales experience in IT services or advertising products
- Knowledge and experience in EC, advertising, and digital marketing
- Experience in analysis and proposal based on data and figures
- Experience in project management
- Experience in launching sales organizations for new businesses or new services
- Strong desire to achieve high goals, coupled with leadership, proposal skills, drive, and coordination skills to realize them
- Experience in team management
