Business Overview

Rakuten Group, headquartered in Japan, serves approximately 100 million users domestically and 1 billion globally. We offer over 70 services across various fields including e-commerce, payment services, financial services, telecommunications, media, and sports.

The Golf Business belongs to the same Commerce & Marketing Company as Rakuten Ichiba and Rakuten Travel. We primarily operate "Rakuten GORA," Japan's largest golf course reservation site, and are diversifying golf-related services for both B2B and B2C. For golf courses, in addition to reservation services, we currently provide various solution proposals, consulting services, and content aimed at maximizing golf course revenue and improving operational efficiency.

Department Overview

The Golf Business Sales Consulting Department, for which we are currently recruiting, provides extensive support to over 1,900 golf courses nationwide. This support includes attracting customers, which is fundamental to golf course operations, as well as PR, branding, operational improvement, and DX support.

This role involves empowering golf courses by helping them increase revenue, thereby creating an environment where golfers can enjoy golf more. It's a job that not only benefits golfers but also significantly contributes to the development of the golf industry.

This role requires fast-paced and flexible consulting to analyze daily market conditions and help golf courses with their operations.

Position Details

Business overview

You will be a partner to 1,900 golf courses nationwide, responsible for approximately 50 golf courses. You will be entrusted with customized proposals and consulting sales using big data to maximize customer acquisition for each golf course.

- Share and set customer acquisition goals and strategies with golf courses.

- Analyze reservation trends and propose customer acquisition promotions based on them.

- Propose advertising placements and various customer acquisition campaigns to achieve targets.

- Propose new services.

- Propose operational efficiency improvements.

- New proposals to uncontracted facilities.

Use of language

Japanese: Used for internal communication and dealing with domestic clients.

Work Environment

Golf Business Sales Consulting Department: Currently 87 members (average age of consultants: approx. 30)

Sales office:

Tokyo Head Office, Sapporo Branch, Sendai Branch, Nagoya Branch, Osaka Branch, Hiroshima Branch, Fukuoka Branch

Mandatory Qualifications:

- Sales experience (primarily corporate sales with proposal sales, consultant, Web/advertising industry, various manufacturers, etc.)

- Valid driver's license (must be comfortable driving)

- Basic PC skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)

- TOEIC score of 800 or higher, or motivation to achieve an equivalent score within 2 years.

Desired Qualifications:

We prefer candidates who can act with creativity and initiative.

- Welcome those who like golf (or are interested in it).

- Experience in new business development sales.

- Management experience or experience leading work with leadership.

- Leadership in building and strengthening teamwork.

- Data analysis skills.
