Department Overview

Up until now, Rakuten has expanded its business scale centered on the shopping mall business "Rakuten Ichiba" and the credit card business "Rakuten Card," and has grown to sales of 800 billion yen and total domestic distribution of 8.8 trillion yen. In the future, Rakuten will make the most of the assets such as "Rakuten members," "Rakuten points," "brand power," and "member data" that it has cultivated mainly online, and will be stronger, including living offline. We have a vision of creating a new business model that establishes the "Rakuten Economic Zone."

Among them, the Platform Business Strategy Management Department is an organization under the direct control of the COO and Vice President, and is working on the promotion of ecosystem growth strategies and measures centered on marketing across the Rakuten Group.

Position Details

This position will lead the implementation / development direction in the construction of services and products related to the Rakuten ecosystem (membership membership) that accompanies the membership strategy of the entire Rakuten Group. (You can think of it as a director / product manager position closer to implementation / development.)

You will promote the construction of new services / products and the improvement of existing services / products.

- Project planning, requirement definition, design, implementation direction

- Project progress management, task prioritization

- Specific design and specification formulation for A / B testing and sorting

- File management and operation by Git

- QA and release work

Those who are particularly strong in technical aspects will also be responsible for the following as a technical director.

- Technical support for web directors

- Architecture design in collaboration with engineers, API specification design

- Technology selection, development environment improvement

 

Mandatory Qualifications:

- Those who want to develop in a place close to strategy and marketing on the business side and directly feel the creation of business results by release

- Web production / development direction 5 years or more

- Direction of dynamic processing using API

- File management by Git and release work experience by yourself

- Front-end development (HTML, CSS, JS)

 

Desired Qualifications:

- Backend development (PHP, Java, etc.)

- Experience in developing large-scale websites / apps and new functions

- Experience of member site to log in and use

- Those who have a track record of developing sites / apps with agile / lean development processes and producing results

- Team management experience as a leader
