We are seeking a talented Senior Machine Learning Engineer to develop and optimize next-generation multimodal understanding models, with a strong focus on computer vision. This hands-on technical role combines deep implementation expertise with project execution. The ideal candidate will implement and optimize ML solutions while collaborating across functions to deliver production-ready systems.
Job Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership & Architecture
- Guide architectural decisions for mixed (VLM, LLM, DNN) computer vision and multimodal systems.
- Drive the implementation of novel ML approaches, engineering best practices, and new technologies.
- Lead technical design reviews and architecture discussions.
- Establish standards and patterns for model development, evaluation, deployment, and production readiness.
- Architect scalable, reliable, and high-performance ML solutions.
Technical Implementation & Delivery
- Lead the development of complex ML systems and architectures in the field of Intelligent Document Processing (IDP).
- Drive optimization of model performance, efficiency, and scalability.
- Improve ML development, validation, deployment, and operational processes.
- Ensure production readiness, system reliability, and technical excellence across ML initiatives.
Team Mentorship & Leadership
- Mentor and develop senior and junior machine learning engineers.
- Foster a culture of engineering excellence, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning.
- Guide technical decision-making and provide feedback through design reviews.
- Support the career growth of team members while maintaining high engineering standards.
Job Requirements:
Education & Experience
- MS or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in Machine Learning/AI.
- Deep expertise in computer vision, deep learning, and multimodal AI (VLMs/LLMs).
- Proven track record of leading successful ML projects and delivering production ML systems.
- Experience mentoring engineers and driving technical excellence.
Technical Expertise
- Expert knowledge of computer vision, multimodal architectures, and modern ML frameworks.
- Deep understanding of ML system design, scalability, and performance optimization.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Proven ability to solve complex technical challenges and architect scalable ML solutions.
Leadership & Communication
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and grow engineering teams.
- Strong track record of driving technical decisions and architectural direction.
- Excellent technical communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and build consensus across teams.
This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge computer vision and multimodal ML systems while solving complex technical challenges. The ideal candidate will combine deep computer vision expertise with strong implementation skills to deliver innovative solutions.
Salary Range:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is between 17,160,000 HUF and 20,900,000 HUF annually. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location and relevant experience, education, certifications, and seniority compared to others performing substantially similar work. There is no guarantee that an offer will be at the top of the posted range, as compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, qualifications, and internal equity.
