About the job:

Job Purpose & Objectives

Provide operational assistance to the Equity Derivatives and Macro Trading and Sales teams in Hong Kong, including Structured products life cycle management, trade capture, client service, P&L reporting,

cash management and break reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process Life Cycle Management of the Structured Products (Fixings, Corporate Action), notify clients and ensure smooth settlement by Operation team

  • Ensure accurate trade capture and confirmations are sent to clients of various flows

  • Collect KYC doc to initialise account opening for new broker requests

  • Reconcile breaks between frontend systems and backend data. Resolve any trade discrepancies with various parties (trading desk, client, broker, settlement…)

  • Perform trade reconciliations and follow-up on any discrepancies

  • Perform regulatory reporting where necessary

  • Work with front office and IT to enhance system functioning

  • Report on performance and potential issues to direct management, and more generally support management as and when required 

Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor degree

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Strong risk and control mind-set

  • Strong IT Skills (Python, VBA)

Language

  • Fluent in English

Other Skills (e.g. Interpersonal, Communication etc)

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Customer-oriented

  • Able to work in a matrix reporting structure, multi-functional and cross-cultural environment

  • Well-organized and meticulous in details

  • Ability to work under pressure
