Position Summary
Montefiore is seeking an experienced and strategic Sr. Benefits Analyst to help maintain Ongoing Operations delivery of health and welfare benefits administration. This role will drive the modernization of benefits operations, enhance vendor performance, and serve as a key partner to collaborate across HR, Finance, IT, and Legal including implementation of a new benefits administration platform for healthcare system.
The ideal candidate brings a strong track record in benefits strategy, platform transformation, and client/vendor collaboration. This is a hands-on role with responsibility for aligning benefits administration with Montefiore’s broader business and employee experience goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison between Montefiore and benefits administration vendor, ensuring alignment on implementation objectives, technical requirements, and delivery milestones.
- Develop, drive and execute comprehensive benefits administration processes, supporting technology transformation and process modernization.
- Collaborate with internal team to assess organizational needs, guide decision-making, and translate benefits technology solutions into business value.
- Lead project that will include cross-functional teams (HR, IT, Payroll, Compliance, and Operations) to deliver high-quality implementation and ongoing support.
- Set-up data integrations, test and implement integrations to ensure accuracy of EDI transmissions between payroll, HRIS, and carrier systems.
- Manage and participate in system testing, UAT, and quality assurance processes to ensure data integrity and positive end-user experience.
- Support internal HR teams with training, change management, and adoption of new benefits platforms and workflows.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive experience in U.S. health and welfare benefits strategy and delivery, with 3+ years in Project Management.
- Proven expertise in implementing or managing platforms with few key administrators in market. Experience with Businessolver platform will be key.
- Demonstrated success managing large-scale transformation projects and cross-functional stakeholder groups in complex organizations.
- Strong working knowledge of regulatory requirements including ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA.
- Skilled in client relationship management, and vendor oversight.
- Bachelor’s degree required
