Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Field Medical Strategy, Leadership and Execution
- Lead and oversee the Field Medical Science Liaison (MSL) team within the relevant therapeutic area to develop and execute regional field medical plans in alignment with the overall medical strategy.
- Provide strategic direction and coaching to ensure the team effectively identifies regional unmet medical needs and translates them into actionable field medical activities.
- Review and align regional medical plans, resource allocation, and budget proposals to support effective and compliant execution across the region.
- Ensure the identification, prioritization, and engagement of key external stakeholders, particularly key opinion leaders (KOLs), in support of scientific exchange and medical strategy.
- Lead the team to collect, analyze, and synthesize medical insights from external stakeholders, and collaborate with Medical Advisors and other internal stakeholders to inform and shape medical strategies and plans.
- Oversee the collection, documentation, analysis, and communication of external insights to relevant internal stakeholders in a timely and consistent manner.
- Coordinate cross-regional field medical projects and initiatives to ensure effective planning, alignment, and execution.
- Support the identification and evaluation of investigator-initiated sponsored research (IISR) opportunities in alignment with medical strategy, and escalate requests for appropriate medical review when required.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Medical Affairs, Commercial, SFE, Compliance, Clinical Development, and Market Access, to ensure effective delivery of field medical objectives.
- Ensure all field medical activities are conducted in full compliance with applicable policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements, and that fair, balanced, and scientifically accurate information is consistently delivered.
2. Medical Educational Event Design and Execution
- Lead the planning, design, and execution of medical educational events to strengthen scientific exchange and support external stakeholder engagement.
- Ensure event objectives, content, and delivery formats are scientifically sound, strategically aligned, and tailored to the needs of the target audience.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external experts, as appropriate, to ensure high-quality execution and measurable impact of medical educational activities.
- Monitor event outcomes and capture learnings to support continuous improvement in future educational programs.
- Ensure all medical educational activities are conducted in compliance with applicable company policies, SOPs, and external requirements.
3. People Leadership, Digital Capability Building and Development
- Coach, guide, and develop Field MSL team members to strengthen scientific, strategic, stakeholder engagement, and digital capabilities.
- Promote digital capability building within the team to enhance field effectiveness, insight generation, collaboration, and execution efficiency.
- Set clear performance expectations and support team members in achieving business and development objectives.
- Provide regular field coaching, feedback, and performance review to support continuous improvement.
- Support onboarding and integration of new team members to ensure smooth transition and early effectiveness.
- Collaborate with TA leadership and relevant functions to assess team capability and resourcing needs.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and compliant team culture that promotes accountability, knowledge sharing, and continuous development.
4. Additional Responsibilities
- May perform Field MSL responsibilities in specific regions based on business needs.
- Additional responsibilities across other therapeutic areas may be assigned by the line manager.

QUALIFICATIONS
Level of Education
Medical or Pharmacist master degree is required
Working Experience in Relevant Field
- Either ≥3 years medical affairs experience in pharmaceutical company; or ≥ 1 year people manager experience in pharmaceutical company.
- For senior Field Medical Lead, ≥3 yrs medical affairs people Manager experience with a track record of success in pharmaceutical company are required
- Clinical practicing experiences within relevant TAs are preferred.
Professional Knowledge and Skills
- Good knowledge of relevant TAs knowledge in general.
- Fundamental knowledge of clinical study methodology.
- Customer focus with excellent communication and influencing skills that can impact at national level
- Interpersonal skills and strong leadership and motivation skills to lead and coach a team of MSLs and work effectively and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to build and maintain a strong network of effective scientific relationships with stakeholders and maintain an understanding for HCPs, to achieve trusted advisor status.
- Highly medical project management skills to deliver on complex tasks within timeframe and milestones.
- Innovative sense and willing to drive a complex and changing environment and effectively manage and resolve issues from medical perspective.
- Awareness of and adherence to the company company’s credo and compliance requirement.
- Fluent in both written and spoken business and academic English.
Travel Requirements:
- This role requires extensive field-based travel, representing at least 50% of working time, to support team coaching, external stakeholder engagement, and execution of field medical activities.
- Occasional travel during weekends and public holidays may be required based on business needs.
