We are looking for a Operations Associate II to join our Warwick team. As a uniquely qualified candidate, you will be responsible for production planning and inventory control for multiple products while prioritizing operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay. This individual will take a lead role in continuous improvement, product flow and capacity improvement to improve the overall efficiency of manufacturing while service level targets.
Summary
The position will have responsibility for following all Work Instructions for assigned tasks in accordance with internal policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include, but not limited to, the following:
- Understand and follow all rules related to GMP, work instructions, documentation completion, and clean room requirements.
- Able to operate light manufacturing equipment according to instructions, specifications and procedures.
- Perform tasks related to assembly, chemical scouring, visual inspection, and measuring manufactured products.
- Perform all duties in a skilled and timely manner.
- Review and accurately complete all documents and required forms neatly and legibly.
- Work to detect and help overcome issues or concerns associated with products or processes if/when they arise.
- Communicate any concerns or issues which arise during the production process to the Team Lead or Supervisor.
- Maintain positive working relationships with co-workers and support groups.
- Maintain cleanliness standards required for 5S in the personal work area.
- Adhere to and support company policies and procedures.
- Will be required to perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in a manufacturing or technical environment
- Prior experience in the medical device industry preferred
- Textile manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- Hands-on experience working with equipment, tools, or production processes
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude or technical ability
- Experience working in a regulated environment (GMP and/or cleanroom) preferred
- Experience performing assembly, inspection, or measurement tasks
- Familiarity with production documentation and data entry systems (ERP or similar) preferred
Education and Experience
High school degree or equivalent, Associates degree preferred.
Communication Skills
Fluent in English.
Must be able to write legibly and have good documentation skills.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Operations
Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. Capable of performing the functions within the company’s ERP system that are required to perform production transactions and data entry of measurement results.
Environmental Working Conditions
Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation. Moderate noise (examples: business office with computers and printers, light delivery truck traffic, etc.)
Physical Demands
Over 1/3 of the time spent sitting at workstations. Remaining 2/3 standing and lifting – potential up to 40 lbs. Ability to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive processes while working in a manufacturing environment. Demonstrate good manual dexterity.
Work Schedule/Hours
Typical work hours are from 6:00am– 2:30pm Monday through Friday (1st shift); 2:00pm – 10:30pm (2nd shift) and 10:00 pm – 6:30am (3rd shift). Exceptions to these typical work hours may be required. Weekend support may be required to maintain company service levels and to meet company goals. Individuals may be required to work additional hours daily/weekly, depending on client needs or project deadlines. May be required to work additional hours during the annual physical inventory event.
