As a Maintenance & Calibration Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of advanced manufacturing equipment within a cutting-edge Radioligand Therapy environment. Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and intermediate calibrations on production, laboratory, and utility equipment
- Troubleshoot equipment issues, identify root causes, and execute repairs using established procedures
- Support equipment start-ups, shutdowns, and minor modifications, including replacement of components such as sensors, valves, and drives
- Accurately complete and review maintenance and calibration records within the CMMS accurately and on time.
- Contribute to improvements in maintenance procedures and standard operating practices
- Support investigations and corrective actions by providing technical insight and equipment data
- Mentor junior technicians and promote strong compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards
- Comply with and promote cGMP, GDP, EHS, and radiation safety standards in all activities
Essential Requirements
- Technical diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Automation, Mechatronics), or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Minimum 2 years of maintenance or calibration experience, preferably within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or similar environment.
- Strong understanding of maintenance and calibration principles and industry-standard methodologies
- Experience working with a CMMS to plan, execute, and document work.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and work independently on routine and intermediate technical tasks
Desirable Requirements
- Familiarity with cleanroom environments, clean utilities, and basic automation or control systems
- Experience in a radiopharmaceutical or radioligand therapy manufacturing environment
The salary for this position is expected to range between $39.04 and $72.50 per hour. The final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors. Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards.
