Marketing Artist Intern
Team: Growth, Paid Performance
Who You Will Work With
Manager: Elise (Creative Strategist)
Key collaborators: Yunshu (UA Manager) and Marjolaine (Marketing Director)
Why This Role and Why Now?
Opal helps millions of people use their phone less. To get there, we need creatives that stop the scroll. That's the real challenge: making ads that earn attention, without wasting it.
We're currently scaling our paid acquisition, and the single biggest lever is creative volume and velocity. The more quality creatives we test, the more winners we find, the more efficiently we grow.
Now this is where you come in: we're looking for a Marketing Artist Intern to help us produce engaging paid social creatives, short-form videos and statics.
You'll work directly with the creative team, get your hands on real campaigns from day one, and see your work go live across Meta, TikTok and Google.
This is a hands-on production role. You'll be making creatives end-to-end, not just briefing them: editing, assembling, and occasionally shooting simple social content in office or home-style settings. It's a great fit if you live on social platforms, and want to learn how creative drives growth at a fast-moving consumer app.
What you'll do
Produce ad creatives: edit short-form videos, UGC-style hooks, and statics that feel native to each platform and resonate with our audience.
Shoot your own content: film and propose fresh creative ideas.
Adapt for every channel: tailor and optimize creatives for platforms like Meta, TikTok, Google, and beyond ๐
Localize ads: adapt and localize creatives to fit the needs of different campaigns and markets.
Feed the testing engine: prepare and upload assets into live campaigns, keep batches moving, and make sure deliverables are accurate and on time.
Track & learn from performance: review campaign results, gather insights, and suggest creative improvements to boost impact.
Iterate on winners: take proven creatives and spin up variations, iterating on winners consistently beats starting from scratch.
Stay on top of trends: hunt for what's working on socials (hooks, formats, creators) and bring fresh references to fuel the next batch.
Collaborate & experiment: work closely with the marketing team to brainstorm, test, and refine formats.
What we're looking for
English proficiency: you understand the language, tone, and cultural references of social platforms.
Loves shooting & ideating: you enjoy being behind the camera and proposing new creative ideas, not just executing a brief.
Hands-on with CapCut & Figma: comfortable editing and designing in both.
Social media expert: you live on TikTok, Reels and Shorts. You know how to benchmark, what's trending, and what a strong hook looks like.
Adaptable: you can switch angles, formats, and personas quickly as testing priorities shift week to week.
Nice to have
Notions of UA / paid social (enough to read basic performance signals like hook rate, CPI, CVR).
After Effects and Photoshop.
Interest in motion design and creative tooling.
Why it's a great internship
You'll learn the full loop 'concept โ production โ test โ performance' at a fast-moving consumer app.
A creative team that iterates fast, shares performance openly, and treats creative as the #1 growth lever.
