Job Description
Position Summary
The Mass Market Sales Leader is responsible for driving revenue growth, market penetration, and customer engagement within the mass-market segment reporting to directly India Sales Leader. This role leads the development and execution of regional mass-market strategies, manages distributor/channel relationships, drives opportunity creation and design-win growth, and ensures alignment between Sales, FAE, Marketing, and Product Groups (PG).
Key Responsibilities
1. Business & Revenue Leadership
- Own mass market sales performance, revenue growth, and demand creation within the assigned region.
- Develop and execute annual mass-market business plans and growth strategies.
- Drive Design Registration, Design-In, and Design-Win initiatives to accelerate long-term revenue growth.
- Maintain accurate forecasts, pipeline visibility, and opportunity management.
2. Distributor & Channel Management for MM demand creation
- Initiate local regional demand creation by driving distributors’ sales and FAE for MM development
- Define target MM customers in each area such as North, South and West area with segment strategy aligned with AA segment leaders.
- Leverage IDH and VAR partners for solution based winning as well as leveraging Renesas UX solution team.
- Develop disrtibutor sales motivations and performance review strategy under collaboration with CAM.
3. Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and coach MM sales staffs for them to drive distribution sales and FAE properly and effectively.
- Establish sales goals, KPIs, and accountability mechanisms.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, customer focus, and execution excellence.
- Develop talent and succession plans for the mass-market organization.
- Collaboration with internal stakeholders such as AA Segment leaders, FAE leaders, UX team and PG marketing/BD teams for bandwidth and support, etc.
4. Customer & Opportunity Management
- Build executive-level relationships with key mass-market customers.
- Weekly basis funnel review with each distributor for MM and Opp. review in Distributor site together with MM sales for building up the funnel.
- Managing DWIN/DIN target achievement
- Daily base distributor/customer meetings.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Product Groups, Marketing, FAE teams, Operations, and Regional Sales leadership.
- Align technology enablement, training, and customer engagement activities.
- Support new product introductions and solution-based marketing initiatives.
6. Operational Excellence
- Monitor KPIs including revenue, design registrations, design wins, backlog, inventory health, and channel performance.
- Drive process improvements and adoption of company sales systems and tools.
- Ensure timely reporting, forecasting, and business reviews.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field.
- 20+ years of semiconductor, electronics, technology, or B2B sales experience.
- Proven leadership experience managing sales teams and channel partners.
- Strong commercial negotiation and strategic planning skills.
- Experience managing complex customer ecosystems and distributor networks.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Semiconductor industry experience.
- Experience leading regional or country-level sales organizations.
- Strong understanding of demand creation, design-win management, and channel sales models.
- Demonstrated success in growing mass-market revenue through distributors and indirect channels.
