POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Sr. Associate, Surgical General Field Sales & Account Management, you are required to promote and sell the organization's products across multiple clinical sales channels, including selling via clinics and hospitals. You will be a partner in surgery for surgeons & nurses, assisting them in obtaining the intended surgical outcomes for their patients We, in Alcon, help patients see brilliantly.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Promotion and selling of ophthalmic surgery related devices within Mindanao Region (Except Zamboanga) and Western Visayas Region.

  • Expand Market Share with the successful execution of Marketing Initiatives.

  • Achieve product sales objectives.

  • Visit customers / health care professionals and provide necessary Operation Theatre / Operation Room support frequently

  • Discover and develop new business opportunities.

  • Execute sales plan and strategy, participate and conduct different level events / meetings.

  • Inform customers / health care professionals’ latest update of products, services and prices, etc.

  • To create and maintain customer database.

  • To investigate, assess the market and react to competition to maintain Alcon product market share

  • To assist and add-value to the daily work of the Healthcare professionals (Drs, Nurses, Technicians)

  • Under compliance:

    • Ensure awareness and understanding of the Alcon Code of Conduct and other integrity and compliance guidelines and policies (BPO, Anti bribery, Conflicts of Interest, AP3 etc.)

    • Adhere to the highest ethical standards in the industry and abide by the Alcon Code of Conduct and other integrity and compliance guidelines and policies. (BPO, Anti bribery, Conflicts   of Interest, AP3 etc.)

    • Report potential misconduct or violations to the Code of Conduct and other integrity and compliance guidelines to the Compliance Officer, HR, BPO.

    • Ensure attendance and understanding of the mandatory and corporate trainings, i.e. Compliance and Code of Conduct Training, AP3, Adverse Event Reporting, ER Process, Sourcing Procedure, Travel and Expense Guidelines).

    • Ensure compliance to Good Pharmacovigilance Practice (GPvP) and adhere to timely reporting of Adverse Event and Product Complaint reporting within 24 hours to Drug Safety

HOW YOU CAN THRIVE AT ALCON:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Preferred:  Graduate of a 4-year medical-related or business course, college or university

Languages:

  • Local language & English proficiency

Experience:

  • 3 years sales in Medical Device or Pharmaceutical Industry

  • Experience in the eye care industry will be an advantage

  • Successful track record in closing sales

Competency/Technical Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer management skills 

  • A quick learner and can achieve results with minimal supervision

  • Proficient communication skills: oral/written business correspondence

  • Highly adaptive and independent

  • Presentation planning and delivery

  • Intermediate MS Office capabilities

  • Must be experienced in driving /has a valid driver’s license

  • Preferably residing in Mindanao Area.
