In this dynamic environment, we are looking for an ambitious and self-driven Data Business Analyst to join our Data Engineering team in Athens.      

Work closely with a talented team of data engineers, visualization experts and app developers to solve important and challenging problems for clients and internal teams within Greece and abroad. As a Data Business Analyst, you will be the bridge between business and technical teams, translating complex requirements into innovative data solutions. 

Your Key Responsibilities  

• Facilitate requirement-gathering workshops and manage conflicting stakeholder needs across business and technical teams 

• Document and communicate your findings as well as training colleagues and clients alike with best practices in your field 

• Effectively communicate with business and technical teams at all levels 

• Design logical and technical data solutions with clear trade-off analysis 

• Translate business requirements into technical specifications, data mappings, and architecture blueprints 

• Conduct current state vs. future state analysis and gap assessment 

• Create and maintain high-quality documentation (BRD, FDD, data dictionaries) with full traceability to technical specs 

• Preparation and execution of SIT, QA, and UAT scenarios in collaboration with technical teams & client 

• Support end-to-end data solution delivery from source to target state 

What you bring matters       

Should have 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Engineering and any other relevant field    

• 2-3 years of proven experience in Business & Functional Analysis on data projects (Data Warehouse, Lakehouse, Data Migration, BI implementations) 

• Strong facilitation skills to lead workshops and build consensus with multiple stakeholders 

• Excellent skills on planning, strong oral and written communication skills in Greek and English  

• Knowledge of data modeling concepts (Star Schema, Snowflake, Normalization)  

• Ability to think through end-to-end data flows and design trade-offs (complexity vs. usability, cost vs. performance) 

• Strong planning and project management mindset with scope prioritization experience 

• Creativity and analytical thinking to solve complex problems   

• Self-motivation for continued learning and development   

• Commitment to providing excellent quality work and building client relationships 

• Passion to work in multidisciplinary teams and projects   

Nice to have 

• Knowledge in SQL and Python or similar scripting language 

• Experience with BI/Visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker) 

• Agile/Scrum methodology experience  

• Project management tools experience (Jira, Azure DevOps) for requirement tracking and backlog management
