About the opportunity 

It is an exciting time to join the Alumni and Supporter Experience team that provides an innovative engagement program for a community of almost 500,000 people.   

To support our ambitions for enhanced alumni and donor engagement, we are investing in the team’s capacity and now seek a  Deputy Director (Alumni Communications and Insights) to drive mass engagement through multi-channel communications.  

The role will see you designing, implementing, refining, and reviewing alumni journeys that are data informed and thoughtfully cater to the diversity of our alumni community to achieve a personalised and integrated alumni and donor communication experience. 

 

We now have a fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated and passionate Deputy Director (Alumni Communications and Insights) to lead the Alumni Insights and Global Campaigns teams to design and deliver coordinated, data-driven alumni communications across multiple channels to deepen alumni engagement, increase retention and drive lead generation for student recruitment, Community Giving and continued learning programs. 

Through the coordination of audience segmentation, the role will ensure alignment, consistency, and relevance across the end-to-end customer lifecycle.    

A key aspect of the role is to provide cross-functional leadership to align stakeholders through a shift in focus from channel-led activity to journey-led engagement 

 

About you

  • has high level experience managing stakeholder engagement strategies with proven success delivering engagement or revenue growth

  • is skilled in the translation of data and market intelligence into actionable insights, performance reporting, and evidencebased recommendations that inform senior leadership decisions

  • has proven success in designing and implementing customer journeys. Experience with salesforce marketing cloud will be an advantage

  • is an expert at stakeholder management. You enjoy collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to generate thoughtful and impactful communication campaigns that inspire alumni engagement

  • is strategic in their thinking and an expert communicator. You will advise on industry trends, creative engagementinitiativesand new technologies to enhance graduate tracking and communications 

  • has extensive experience in managing high profile, complex global campaigns and projects  

  • is highly creative and enjoys idea generation and thinking outside the box

  • is an experienced leader and can mentor a team of professionals to achieve high standards of client service delivery andteamwork 

  • has exceptional organisational and time-management skills, including the ability to prioritise and work within often very tight deadlines .
