Job Description

A leadership position responsible for driving operational excellence and team performance within the fund accounting department. This role manages a team of accounting professionals, oversees complex client relationships, and ensures delivery of high-quality accounting services. The position focuses on people management and operational efficiency while maintaining overall accountability for team performance and client satisfaction.

What you'll do: 

  • You'll lead and develop a team of fund accounting professionals, conducting regular performance reviews, career development discussions, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
  • You'll drive operational performance and quality standards by establishing performance metrics, monitoring key performance indicators, and leading performance improvement initiatives across the team.
  • You'll build and manage cluster and client relationships by handling escalated client issues, facilitating client review meetings, and coordinating service delivery across departments to ensure client satisfaction.
  • You'll direct the implementation of strategic initiatives and process improvements, championing technology adoption, overseeing system optimization, and leading change management initiatives to enhance efficiency.
  • You'll ensure regulatory compliance and risk management while overseeing resource allocation, capacity planning, workload distribution, and monitoring adherence to policies and procedures across all team operations.

Qualifications

About you:

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, with 8+ years of progressive fund accounting experience; ACCA or ACA qualification is advantageous.
  • You demonstrate expert-level knowledge of fund accounting processes, regulatory compliance frameworks, and risk management, with proven proficiency in reviewing and approving complex financial reports and client deliverables.
  • You are an effective leader with exceptional people management capabilities, including conducting performance reviews, facilitating career development discussions, and driving team training and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • You excel at driving operational excellence through process improvements, technology adoption, and change management, with strong skills in resource allocation, capacity planning, and establishing key performance metrics to enhance efficiency.
  • You are skilled at managing escalated client issues, fostering long-term client relationships, and coordinating cross-departmental efforts to ensure seamless service delivery, supported by excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
