Job Description
- Kubernetes Infrastructure: Conceptualize, develop, and implement robust, high-performance deployment systems for highly available Kubernetes (K8s) environments.
- Microservices Architectures: Design, develop, and optimize resilient and scalable microservices architectures that form the foundation of our modern applications.
- CI/CD Excellence: Establish, maintain, and continuously improve fully automated CI/CD pipelines for seamless integration, testing, and deployment of microservices within Kubernetes systems.
- Technological Migration: Actively lead and execute the migration of existing Ansible-based deployment systems to modern, K8s-native CI/CD solutions to maximize efficiency and scalability.
- Mission-Critical Systems: Develop and optimize mission-critical IT systems that demand the highest standards of availability, performance, and security.
- Collaboration & Architecture: Work closely with other development teams, operations, product management, and external stakeholders to design, validate, and successfully implement technical solutions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent; Master’s degree preferred.
- Profound Experience: Extensive and proven experience (at least 5 years) in software development, ideally in backend development and/or cloud-native technologies.
- Kubernetes Expertise: At least 3 years of hands-on experience and deep knowledge of Kubernetes, including the development of K8s Operators and a strong understanding of the K8s ecosystem.
- Automation Tools: Good knowledge and practical experience in configuring and utilizing Ansible for automation tasks.
- Helm Competence: Practical experience with Helm for package management and deployment in Kubernetes.
- Linux Affinity: Deep understanding and proficient handling of Linux operating systems.
- Microservices Specialist: Proven practical experience in developing, managing, and operating microservices-based applications.
- Messaging Systems (Nice-to-have): Knowledge and initial practical experience with Solace PubSub+ for messaging solutions are a plus.
- Security Tools (Desirable): Experience with OpenBao for secrets management is desirable.
- Problem-Solving Skills: A proactive approach, strong analytical abilities, and the capacity to independently and creatively solve complex technical challenges.
- Communication & Teamwork: Excellent communication skills, the ability to work effectively within a team, and to convey complex technical information clearly.
- Language Skills: Fluent English skills are required, German skills are a plus
