The Opportunity
Are you ready to be a key driver in transforming our procurement function into a data-driven organization? As our Performance & Insight Manager, based in Mumbai you will leverage complex data to generate actionable insights that optimize strategies, improve supplier performance, mitigate risks, and enhance overall procurement efficiency.
Reporting Line: The position directly reports the Head of Procurement Center of Excellence (DOP).
Wider team and stakeholders: Works closely and cross-culturally with procurement team members, category managers, finance, IT, and other global stakeholders.
Role Type: A highly analytical and strategic role focused on data integration, insights generation, and the continuous enhancement of procurement intelligence solutions.
Impact: You will translate complex data into clear, impactful recommendations. Specifically, you are accountable for:
Insights Generation & Analysis: Proactively identifying areas where data can optimize decision-making. Conducting in-depth analysis to spot trends and opportunities, and performing scenario planning and sensitivity analysis for different procurement strategies.
Reporting & Visualization: Designing and developing insightful dashboards, reports, and visualizations to track key procurement metrics (e.g., spend analysis, savings, supplier performance, risk, and compliance).
Data Integration: Identifying, collecting, cleansing, and integrating relevant data from various internal and external sources, including ERP systems and market intelligence platforms.
Program & Rollout Support: Supporting the deployment of procurement tools and processes by defining reporting requirements, developing tracking mechanisms, and ensuring data integrity during implementation.
Technology Evaluation: Evaluating, recommending, and driving the implementation of appropriate data analytics tools and platforms in close collaboration with IT.
Stakeholder Communication: Preparing and presenting findings effectively, translating complex data insights into clear, understandable formats for both technical and non-technical audiences, including leadership.
Who you are
We look for professionals with a strong analytical mindset, a can-do mentality, and a high willingness to take personal responsibility to drive our data evolution.
Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline is required.
Experience: 5+ years of proven experience in data analysis and insights generation, specifically focused on procurement or supply chain. Experience working cross-culturally in a global position is essential.
Procurement Knowledge: A deep understanding of procurement processes, methodologies, and best practices.
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in SQL, database management, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), alongside advanced Excel skills. Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement software is required. Knowledge of statistical analysis software (e.g., R, Python, SPSS) is a strong plus.
AI & Digitalization: You have a strong affinity to explore AI-driven solutions broadly, particularly regarding the digital transformation of operations (Digital 2.0 / Industry 4.0).
Mindset & Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to plan, organize, prioritize, work independently, and consistently meet deadlines.
Communication: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the proven ability to translate complex data findings into actionable insights for diverse audiences.
Languages: Fluency in English is essential.
