Job Description

As a Senior HR Advisor, you'll partner closely with leaders across our Store Support Office, providing practical, commercially focused HR advice and coaching. You'll support leaders through the full employee lifecycle, helping them navigate people challenges while driving engagement, capability and performance.

You'll enjoy variety, autonomy and the opportunity to make a genuine impact through both operational HR delivery and strategic people initiatives.

Drawing on your toolkit of skills and experience you will:

  • Build trusted relationships with leaders across the business.
  • Provide pragmatic HR advice on employee relations, performance, engagement and workforce planning.
  • Coach leaders to build confidence and capability in managing their teams.
  • Support organisational design and people planning initiatives.
  • Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary processes and personal grievances.
  • Provide guidance on employment legislation, policies and best practice.
  • Support the delivery of leadership development initiatives.
  • Support organisational change initiatives and help leaders navigate change effectively.

Qualifications

You're an experienced HR professional who enjoys building relationships and influencing positive outcomes. You're comfortable balancing operational delivery with strategic thinking and thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

You'll bring:

  • Proven experience in a Senior HR Advisor or HR Generalist role.
  • Strong knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation and employee relations.
  • Confidence coaching and influencing leaders at all levels.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to build trusted relationships.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and passion for creating positive employee experiences.

Experience supporting corporate or multi-site environments, along with exposure to change management and HR systems, would be highly regarded.
