Consultant Surgical Oncologist- private healthcare facility

In this position, you will be responsible for the surgical management of patients diagnosed with various malignancies. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans, ensuring personalized and compassionate care that addresses each patient's unique needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough clinical evaluations and assessments of oncology patients
• Plan and perform complex surgical oncology procedures with precision and care
• Coordinate with oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and other healthcare professionals to devise comprehensive treatment strategies
• Manage pre-operative and post-operative care, monitoring patient progress and addressing complications
• Maintain detailed, up-to-date patient records in accordance with private healthcare standards
• Educate patients and their families about diagnosis, treatment options, surgical procedures, and recovery expectations
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with the latest advancements in surgical oncology

Requirements

• Medical degree with specialization and board certification in Surgical Oncology
• Extensive experience in surgical oncology within a private healthcare setting
• Deep understanding of oncology principles, surgical techniques, and cancer treatment modalities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and patients
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly regarding clinical documentation
• Ability to manage complex cases independently and collaboratively
