As a Senior Creative Engineer, you are a seasoned professional in digital design and creative production at scale. You will work with an amazing team of creatives to ensure artwork is designed and adapted according to our client’s brand guidelines while maintaining the highest quality standards. You will take design briefs and key art from the account and creative team, ensuring conceptual creative ideas are translated into scalable digital assets ready for market.
You are an ideal candidate if you come from an advertising agency or production design studio and have worked across a variety of creative projects including digital campaigns, marketing collateral, motion graphics, brand work, advertising, and high-volume production. You enjoy building scalable design systems, creating templates, mentoring others, and continuously improving creative workflows. You are adaptable, eager to learn new technologies and automation tools, and thrive in fast-paced environments.
This position requires full on-site attendance, five days per week, at the Barreal office (Heredia, Zona Franca Metropolitana).

You will
- Collaborate with the Creative Team to bring their ideas to life while ensuring best practices and brand standards remain top of mind.
- Design and adapt key art into pixel-perfect digital assets across multiple formats, sizes, and platforms.
- Create and maintain scalable templates and design systems to support high-volume creative production.
- Produce high-quality motion graphics and animated assets for digital campaigns.
- Bring forward ideas to improve the team’s systems, templates, automation, and creative production workflows.
- Work with internal teams, Account, and Creative to ensure continuity of delivery of final files within agreed timeframes and to high standards.
- Become fully ingrained in the brand’s design systems and act as a gatekeeper of brand guidelines.
- Mentor junior and mid-level Creative Engineers, supporting their technical and production design development while fostering collaboration and team growth.
- Understand technical limitations across digital platforms and recommend creative solutions that maximize design quality and platform performance.
- Build clean, organized creative files that support scalable production and future campaign adaptations.
- Create detailed documentation and template guides to clearly communicate production workflows and design systems.
- Stay up to date on digital production best practices, motion design trends, creative technologies, and automation tools.
- Demonstrate adaptability and a continuous learning mindset while embracing new tools and evolving production processes.
You have
- 3–5 years of experience working as a Production Designer, Designer, Motion Designer, or Creative Engineer in an advertising agency, production studio, or design environment.
- Extensive experience working within high-volume, high-scale creative production workflows.
- Strong experience building and maintaining design systems, templates, and scalable creative assets.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects for motion design.
- Strong motion design and animation skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma (Sketch experience is a plus).
- Experience with, or willingness to learn, creative automation platforms such as Celtra or Orca Plus.
- Experience building and editing Keynote and PowerPoint presentations.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
- Pixel-perfect attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality assurance.
- Expertise in layout production, image optimization, static and animated digital advertising, email production, and visual guidelines.
- General understanding of HTML5.
- Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and the ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies.
