About the Team
Our international and agile team is looking for support from a motivated person as a RF Design Engineer (f/m/d). You enjoy working in a dedicated, dynamic and international environment that aims for high-performance engineering solutions in aerospace technology? Then apply for us.
The RF system (telemetry + flight termination) is broad and multidisciplinary, spanning the launch vehicle, ground systems, down-range ground systems, and satellite networks. You therefore need to be a high-performing generalist, who can work independently and autonomously as part of a small team.
Your Tasks
- Design and troubleshoot RF systems based on off-the-shelf components
- Plan and implement qualification and acceptance testing of RF systems
- Test RF systems in the field and/or via analysis and simulation
- Integrate RF components onto the vehicle
- Perform RF-related literature reviews and research
- Become familiar with RF telemetry/flight termination system requirements outlined by the RCC, IRIG, and ECSS standards
- Prepare and maintain engineering documentation with a high standard of detail and accuracy
- Develop and maintain Python scripts used for analysis and test
- Collaborate with other teams across the company
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master study in telecommunications/RF/microwave engineering, electrical/electronics engineering, or an equivalent qualification
- Strong foundation in digital RF communications theory: modulation, forward error correction, software defined radios, and DSP
- Strong foundation in electromagnetic principles, antenna theory/design, transmission line theory, link margin analysis, electronics/embedded systems, and RF simulation
- Hands-on experience with programming languages including Python, C, C++, and MATLAB/Simulink
- Hands-on experience with wireless communications/telemetry systems is desirable
- Knowledge of common test and troubleshooting equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, network analysers, and signal generators
- Fluent oral and written English skills (all day-to-day activities are performed in English
