Junior Post Production Coordinator

About the role

The Junior Post Production Coordinator will support project preparation, scheduling, tracking, quality assurance and workflow development across post-production projects. This role would suit someone organised, detail-focused and adaptable, with a strong interest in audio technology, games and interactive media. You will work closely with post-production staff, senior team members and other departments to help ensure projects are set up properly, tracked accurately and delivered to a high standard.

Key responsibilities

Preparation

  • Review project bookings and support leads in preparing project workflows in advance.
  • Set up documentation and tasks in line with company and department best practices.
  • Communicate effectively between post-production staff and other departments.
  • Raise issues to senior staff as they arise in a fast-paced environment.

Scheduling

  • Schedule and book resources using department tools.
  • Escalate to senior staff if additional resources are required.
  • Maintain strong attention to detail to ensure all allocated projects run smoothly.
  • Remain quick, resourceful and adaptable to changing tasks and deadlines.

Tracking

  • Track project progress, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are completed to a high standard.
  • Archive projects.
  • Attend daily and weekly meetings.

Development

  • Achieve QA across post-production projects, maintaining the highest processing standards.
  • Liaise with clients and production teams regarding best practices in post-production for their deliverables.
  • Liaise with senior staff regarding best practices for the post-production pipeline.
  • Support the development of post-production services, processes, tools and workflows as part of a global team.

Other responsibilities

  • Adhere to company security, confidentiality, health and safety procedures, and support team compliance.
  • Adhere to company IT and HR procedures, and support team compliance.

Post Production Coordinator

About the role

The Post Production Coordinator role is suited to someone with experience coordinating commercial audio post-production projects in a busy production environment. This position requires strong organisation, confident communication, ownership of deliverables and the ability to manage multiple moving parts across projects, people, files, deadlines and client requirements. You will play a key role in preparing workflows, booking resources, tracking project progress, supporting technical QA and helping improve post-production services, tools and processes across a global team.

Key responsibilities

Preparation

  • Set up documentation and tasks in line with company and departmental best practices.
  • Communicate effectively between post-production staff and other departments.
  • Respond to or escalate issues to senior staff promptly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Identify potential workload or traffic issues and propose solutions.
  • Flag when additional resources are required to meet project demands.
  • Prepare and manage workflows for assigned projects in line with best practices.
  • Ensure key stakeholders and vendors are briefed with accurate project details.

Coordination

  • Schedule and book resources using department tools.
  • Maintain strong attention to detail to ensure smooth execution of all assigned projects.
  • Take ownership of deliverables and ensure timely delivery of final files to clients.
  • Remain adaptable and resourceful in response to shifting priorities and deadlines.
  • Be available on-site as required.
  • Ensure technical QA is achieved across all post-production projects, maintaining the highest standards.
  • Apply effective project management and foster strong communication between post-production and other departments.
  • Liaise with clients and production teams to advise on best practices for post-production deliverables.

Tracking

  • Track project progress to ensure deadlines are met and deliverables meet quality standards.
  • Archive completed projects in accordance with department protocols.

Development

  • Identify when a project is at risk of exceeding its agreed scope and notify relevant stakeholders proactively.
  • Provide constructive feedback to the support team to support development within the post-production team.
  • Evaluate and help implement new tools, technologies and processes to enhance post-production services.
  • Collaborate with senior staff to streamline workflows and promote best practices across the post-production pipeline.

Requirements

Knowledge

The successful candidate will bring:

  • Solid understanding of post-production workflows, including working with dialogue and video assets.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard tools such as Pro Tools, Reaper, Audition and iZotope RX.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams, Excel and Word.
  • Confidence using spreadsheets and project management software to track progress and resources.
  • Awareness of best practices in scheduling, resource allocation and QA within post-production.
  • Strong interest in audio technology and a passion for video games and interactive media.

Experience

We are looking for someone with:

  • 2+ years of experience in a commercial audio post-production environment, preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects and large volumes of files across various languages and formats.
  • Hands-on experience scheduling and coordinating resources in a fast-paced production setting.
  • Proven ability to track project progress, manage deliverables and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and liaising with clients or external vendors.
  • Confidence mentoring junior staff and contributing to team development.
