Software Quality Engineer Senior

Job Description

• Work together with the software development team to enhance and improve the software applications;
• Create test cases (from requirements, previously identified issues or bugs, etc.) to identify software problems;
• Analyze and document bugs and errors found during tests;
• Report the test results to the software development team;
• Analyze and test the software security;
• Provide tests and methods to ensure high data quality;
• Perform manual and automatic testing: Integration, Regression, Black-box, Customer Acceptance, User Interface, Security;
• Argue with the development team against the requirements if something still requires development rework;
• Performs routine inspections and quality tests (automated and exploratory);
• Report a bug by creating a ticket in Jira within a default template (e.g. steps to reproduce the bug, environment (test, train, and production), logs, expected result, actual result, and rate reproduction).

Qualifications

• Good understanding of REST-API functionality, implementation and adaptability;
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases; 
• Previous experience with API testing tools (Postman, etc);
• Previous experience with automated test web-frameworks e.g.: PlayWright, Cypress, Selenium, Jenkins, JMeter or others;
• Previous experience with debugging tools (e.g. Jest, Mocha or Vue/Chrome/FF Dev Tools);
• Good scripting language skills in JavaScript, Python or others. 

Great to have:

• Previous experience with IT application versioning;
• Any testing certification (e.g. ISEB/ISTQB Qualified (Foundation level upwards)).
• Previous experience in Atlassian Toolchain (e.g. Jira, Confluence);
• Previous experience with agile development process, including understanding the main concepts of Scrum and Kanban frameworks.
• Previous experience with AI agents.
