Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Advisor to play a key role in shaping and strengthening Statkraft’s sustainable and resilient supply chains.

This is a business-critical area for Statkraft. The team’s mandate is to ensure resilient, responsible and competitive supply chains by enabling strong supplier management and effective risk mitigation across procurement activities. The role reports to VP Sustainable Procurement.

Key responsibilities

As Senior Advisor, you will play a key role in shaping how Statkraft secures resilient, responsible and competitive supply chains in an increasingly complex global environment.

  • Analyse and interpret EU and national regulatory requirements affecting supply chains, and translate these into practical implications for procurement decisions, category strategies and supplier management. Support procurement teams in managing regulatory and sustainability risks.
  • Identify, assess and prioritise sustainability and supply chain risks through due diligence, risk and impact assessments, and supply chain mapping, with increasing focus on continuous monitoring of high-risk geographies and critical supply chains.
  • Lead strategic supplier engagement based on risk exposure, performance and sustainability targets, and drive improvement initiatives in high-risk or critical supply chains.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on sustainable procurement, with strong competence in supply chain risk management and emerging supply chain constraints
  • Provide training and advice to the procurement organisation, project teams and asset owners on sustainability risk management and sustainable procurement

Qualifications

Your profile

We are looking for a professional who combines strong analytical capabilities with the ability to influence and engage across a complex organisation:

  • Solid experience with sustainability‑related work, preferably combined with knowledge of procurement and supply chain management
  • Experience in process development, improvement and change management
  • Good understanding of regulatory requirements affecting global supply chains and translate these into operational implications
  • Ability to build credibility and influence decision‑making through strong stakeholder and relationship management
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to prioritise and balance competing objectives (cost, sustainability, resilience and supply security) in complex environments
  • Structured and analytical approach, with strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate complex risk landscapes into clear business insights

Competence requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. political science, international relations, economics, or similar)
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience from complex, international environments
  • Strong understanding of global supply chains, geopolitical dynamics and sustainability-related risks
  • Ability to analyse complex and evolving risk landscapes and translate them into clear business implications and priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and contribute to decision-making across organisational boundaries
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in cross-functional teams
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
