As the Communications Specialist, focused on Industry Engagement, you are the architect behind Teleport’s voice among industry and market peers. This is a behind-the-scenes, strategic enablement role. Your focus is brand awareness, strategic positioning and reputation management within the ecosystem(s) that Teleport operates and its influence on industry-relevant agenda.
This role is ideal for someone who's hands-on, fast-moving, and comfortable wearing multiple hats end-to-end: You will strategise, plan, manage, coach, and equip Teleport’s executives and spokespersons to effectively represent the company, working closely with the marketers of each business segment within Teleport.
You'll be based at our Plaza Zurich office and report directly to the Head of Communications.

Most of your time will focus on delivering and owning your scope end-to-end, making fast, informed decisions, and following through on fundamentals like reporting, documentation, and processes.

Spokesperson Management & Thought Leadership Strategy
- Executive Enablement: Design and own the comprehensive strategy to elevate Teleport’s leaders as industry thought leaders.
- Speaker Preparation and Direction: Brainstorm, brief, and prep internal spokespersons for industry panels, keynotes, and media appearances, ensuring they are fully aligned with corporate messaging and narrative.
- Platform Curation: Strategically identify and secure high-impact industry and trade platforms suitable for our spokespersons to occupy, in alignment with the company's business objectives.
Narrative, messaging, storytelling
- Core Architecture: Develop, maintain, and update the foundational industry messaging frameworks for Teleport, anchoring against the master narrative of the company.
- Content development: Craft and manage quality of compelling keynote presentations, talking points, speech outlines, briefing documents, and opinion pieces for your portfolio of spokespersons, working closely with the relevant marketers for segment-specific content. You understand the difference between a lead generation presentation storyline and a keynote presentation storyline
Thought leadership strategic oversight
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with Product Marketers to map out the industry presence and awareness campaigns needed to support Teleport's overall market standing.
- Collaborate and support cross-functionally within the marketing team; with the commercial, operations, finance and CEO Office in Teleport; as well as other Lines of Businesses under Capital A Berhad, where needed
- Pure Awareness Focus: Strategise industry presence, owning 360 campaign planning purely from a positioning and brand-equity perspective, not directly linked to commercial acquisition funnels.
Crisis Communication Infrastructure
- Policy & Playbook Ownership: Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of Teleport’s crisis communication policy and processes.
- Pulse on the market: You have a strong curiosity in market movements and a sharp eye in identifying issues and/or crisis brewing in the market and how that affects Teleport. You will take the lead in monitoring and managing holding and/or reactive positions in an issue and/or crisis-related scenarios.

Requirements
These are minimum-requirement skills and a ‘must-have’ for the role:
- Minimum 5 - 7 years of experience in Corporate Communications, Executive Profiles Management, Public Relations, or Strategic Messaging. Experience in the context of logistics, aviation, or tech is a plus.
- Spokesperson Coaching: Proven track record of managing and advising C-suite executives or senior leaders on presence, tone, and messaging.
- Strategic content development: Exceptional written and presentation communication skills with the ability to adopt different executive voices for speeches, talking points, presentation materials and industry commentaries.
- Crisis Resilience: Highly organised and calm under pressure, with experience building or executing issues and crisis communication playbooks.
- Able to travel for work
- Proficient in English, Malay and Mandarin (bonus)
These are skills that are ‘nice-to-have; and will make you stand out in the job application:
- Knowledge and experience in cargo, e-commerce delivery business and technology
- Background in a corporate strategy team or management consulting with the ability to connect that with marketing and strategic communications application.
